hey all, just joined today and have a question for some more experienced 240 owners. i purchased a 92 240sx recently and it has some damage to the driver side rear quarter panel, im not experienced enough to try to cut off the old one and weld on a different one,and i asked around some shops and they are quoting me at 3k to do it. I was wondering if i should just buy wide body rear quarter panels to go over it or if you guys have any ideas.

thanks for any input, and sorry if this is a really dumb question
here are some pictures:

A body shop should be able to pull that out.

It'll also need some hammer and dolly work.

I'd search around for different quotes, but remember body work is never cheap.

Don't use a rubber mallet lol.

You could always drill the quarter panel off and repair it and weld it back on.

My driver side rear quarter panel has rust and bondo from PO. I was wondering if I should just cut out rust, prime the left over metal, smooth out the bondo hack job and just put on a wide panel over it and call it a day. I guess I'm hoping soemone would say that will work so I don't have to cut and weld since I'm never selling the car.
