I assume the rear small windows is vert specific

I have a problem with the small rear windows not going up if the top is up. Seems like it gets stuck on the rubber window seals and doesn't have any power left to move up the rest of the way. One side also pops out of the guide when moving up from time to time.

Is there a place that sells the window motors and window track for the rear?

Thanks!

you'll have to call nissan or a nissan wharehouse to get those parts. i believe the '92s have to buy the whole window assembly, whereas the '93 and '94 could buy the components. That's what my dealership told me, but they don't know what they're talking about half the time

Thanks for the reply. do you know what the price "should" be around? The nissan dealer around here seem to charge 2 arms and a leg for every part I inquire on. Thanks

It will be crazy unless you get an employee price. Just try to lube up the tracks and motor and such.

I called the nissan dealer and was quoted $171 for a "regulator" is what he calls it. part number is K4601-6X001. This is for the driver side rear window regulator. Does these "regulators fail often?

The window motor is $142 but according to the sales guy its probably not the problem so I didn't ask for the part number.

Regulators in my Q45 have been replaced, so it wouldn't surprise me. I can get it for $125.

Now that confirms my suspicion that my dealer is very expensive. I wish I can get one for that price ... wonder how bad shipping would be

Does anyone know if the regulator on the Passenger side is the same number? While searching some web sites I came across a nissan dealers web site that sells this part for about $120 shipped. Not bad at all.

Check with Dan Tech at Midway - I think he can beat that (or come damn close).

my fsm says the regulator is the actuating motor. one of the usual things to break are the plastic clips off the plate assy.

From the sounds of the problem, you're gonna have to replace both the clips and the motor assy.

is there a number for those clips? I will have to take off the pannel and look tomorrow morning to see if I can find the clips you are talking about or is it missing. Thanks!

I too am looking for parts, specifically the metal plate that attaches to the rear window. The plastic isolator stop has broken off for the runner and the attachment from the plate that attaches is messed up. Nissan is telling me that they do not have these parts anywhere in inventory. My car is a 1993. Can you give me some potential for finding these parts?

You are SOL my friend, my pass rear clip went and the moror was fine. Nissan only carries the ENTIRE assembly:(2 clips, 2 cotterpins, 2 elbowed arms and the motor to work it all. SOLUTION: retro fit it. use these steps:

-remove seats ( bottom clips at the centre of the seat pulls towards front seats, then two retaining screws on the bottom of the back bench rest -11mm if I recall correctly. the back bench rest lifts out directly up off a hoop clasp -easy to do-)

- remove inner wall panel. 2 screws where the seat back was and 2 at the front of the door sill and of course the 2 on top as well.

-remove window support panel now ( 2 more screws)

- you will now have access to the motors and clips.

roll the window assembly 3/4 of the way up( all the while supporting and guiding the assembly up, without allowing the assembly to go off track)

-bend a small section of aluminum ( 1/8 in thick or so) into a square C shape to slide over what's left of your clamp to surround the metal rail. Use epoxy (5 min or 12 hr)as cyanoacrylate(crazy glue) or cement will not bond to the vinyl based clamp(thats why the fugger broke in the first place).

Voila! the retrofit will work. Email me if you need further help!

Damn, MacGyver! I need a standalone engine management system but only have a box of paperclips, a zip tie, two sticks of gum and some JDM duct tape... can you work up the procedure for me? <grin>

LOL it works, try it when your windows go, and as for any sticking the weatherstripping has on the window(this happens as the rubber gets older, try lubricating it with leather conditioner, or baseball glove oil. That should do the trick to get some of that friction down, and keep your car baseball fresh!
