I have a gen 5.5 Maxima. A friend is going to help me replace the plugs and pcv. Then I'm going to help him replace the plugs and pcv on his 3rd gen Altima 3.5.

For my car, I will also be ordering a gen 6 rear valve cover and replacing it as well. There is a known issue where some of the rear plug wells fill up with oil. The gen 6 rear vc is supposed to help prevent that.

Anyone know if there is a similar issue with plug wells filling up with oil in the gen 3 Altima 3.5? Can it be improved with a newer vc? Just wondering if he should order it ahead of time.

Thanks to my fellow fwd vq35 homies!

Yes, 05-06 Altima VQ valve covers are improved for this reason.
