Buy these instead http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

The ones on ebay that you showed have the lights pointed forward, and if you look at your license plate lights carefully you will see that they sit horizontally to the ground, so if you buy these ebay lights, they will actually shine toward the sides of your car (left or right) and not toward the license plate (down). Your plate will probably still gonna light up, but may not be as bright as you wanted it to be.

yo man i took you word for it and ordered them. first off its shining the wrong way. second because of them pointing the wrong way the whole plate is not illuminated. so are you still using yours? the one that shoots down like bmore-coupe linked us to is the correct one. i took my homeboys off his car and tried it on the a/c and it worked perfectly. wtf

Here are pics of mine. I've had them about a year. I believe I ordered them from http://www.SuperBrightLEDs.com

They really compliment my smoked LED tail lights.

When you say that they're pointing the wrong way, do you mean the lights are shining perpindicular to the license plate? like shining to the left/right instead of down?? any bulb that points straight out will light up your plate fine, but the flank bulbs (if pointing in the right direction) should light up your whole plate while the straight bulbs will just light up the sides.

If you mean that they're point the wrong way as in they're point up instead of down.. are these bulbs polarized? because if they're not that means that you can plug them in either way, so if they're pointing up, just turn the bulb aruond and plug it back in and you should have the bulbs pointing in the right direction.

btw i've got 4xled bulbs that just point straight outwards, which shines two cones of light onto my plates, so it looks like a big M instead of a nice even amount of light, but it works

Well then i guess they are the wrong bulbs, unless you can somehow put the bulb plug back into the car more than 1 way, which i kinda doubt.

Can you return them? Sounds like you just need to get normal bulbs, something with more than 1 led should be fine, 4x for me is plenty bright, lots of people have this one and swear by it:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...38245

Wow those'll be bright as hell, but they'll work that's for sure. 30 bucks for license plates led's seems kinda high though. is that for the pair or 30 bucks each?

and ya, your other bulbs would be perfect for the door courtesey lights

interesting... yours look bright as hell. so i take it the lights are pointing down on your car huh??? i wonder if the fixtures are different. what package do you have? thats strange that they work so well on yours. after i screw in the fixture it points to the side instead of straight down. hmmmm

I put my license plate led's in last night, here's a pic of the stock and led side by side. I ordered mine from autolumination.com, a pair of the 194 Supernovas in white. No problems with the install, they fit perfectly. It was $16 for the pair, plus shipping. I'm happy with them because they aren't too bright and are more white than blue. I did their rush shipping for an extra few bucks and had them really quick. Ordered Thursday, shipped Friday, arrived Monday.

I wanted to do that too, however the screws that came with the plate were too long to put in without the holder, and while i was shopping for screws that would fit i came across a car shop that had altima plates, so i went with the $40 plates instead of $.20 screws

Do NOT use these bulbs for licence plates!!!!

Here's what it says on V-LEDs in description :Due to the serious output of this bulb it will get too hot if left on for long periods of time and will quickly fail. When we say High Power we mean it!

When i asked V-Leds how long is too long they replied 15-20 mins.If all mentioned above is correct these bulbs will burn out the first day/night u put them on.

They put out 160 lumens which is WHOWHWWW bright!!! I have a flunk bulb with 80 lumens on my doors and i haven't seen anything brighter then that lol. Using 160 for plates is def overkill. I quess best spot for this bulb is in the trunk. Not sure where u can stick another one thou...
