I noticed that there are cracks on my plastic rear window this morning... I was wondering if I can just replace the plastic part or I have to get the whole conv. top. The cloth part of the top is still in good condition, so I would rather just replace the plastic window...

Does anyone know the approximate cost for either the plastic window itself or the whole top? Or some website to recommend?

Thanks!

Has anyone done the replacement on your own? If so, could you tell me if that's something anyone can do or one has to be an expert?

Thanks!

You can replace just the plastic window but I wouldnt do it your self, unless you have one hell of a sewing maching.

IS the crack all the way through? If not get a plastic conditioner (Autozone for 5$ it will keep the crack from going all the way through.)

It cost about 200$ parts and labor if you find a private shop. Some of the bigger shops can charge up to 400.

Have you been conditioning your cloth top and plastic window. If not Pep boys sells the top conditioner and plastic cleaner. Autozone only carries the plastic cleaner and its not with the other chemicals its with boat parts/ mower parts I have no idea why.

Any other questions feel free to contact me. Drop the top, its the only way to cruise.
