Well I know now that when replacing brake pads on the rear of the 240 that you need to use a special tool or a pair of plyers to turn the piston back into the caliper(clockwise).

Now my question is that, if I can't get the piston back into the caliper by the way of the tool or plyers, how else can I get it back in?

You can try cannel locks to twist them in.

is it not turning or not pushing back in? you have to push in when you turn it

and s13sr20chris said that if you spray some silicone on the dust boot it makes it less likely to tear if it sticks

it may be stuck or may require more force. the tool should look like a little cube that will fit on a ratchet with an extension. it has different nubs sticking out for different vehicles. it will turn the piston as you press and turn. it kind of sucks to do this.

Yeah I released the ebrake, i guess i'm just not pushing down enough or something. I just went out and bought that cube thing today. I did notice some rust under the boot on the piston, can this cause it to be harder to turn in?
