rear passenger side window problem

The rear passenger window will work from the window switch on the door when the car is off or on but I cant control the window from the switch up front. Does anyone know if I should replace the door actuator or switch(s). I dont understand why the widow will work with the car off and key not in ignition.

if the window still rolls up and down by some control (whether the front door, actual door, or remote control) then the actuator is fine.

do you have a multimeter? check the flow for the driver's door switch... see if that's where the problem lies... good luck
