Does anyone know if there're any difference for the rear oxygen sensor (Maxima 97 GXE)? I ordered one from Autozone and they just put in the year and ordered it. However, autowarehouse.com said there are two different ones: one for the car manufactured before 6/97 and one for the car manufactured after?

Does it really a problem and different? I do not really believe in Autozone because the firts time I came they said the code 0136 for bank 1 sensor 2 is for the front sensor . I replaced one and it's still a problem of-course because it should be the rear one. Now I ordered the rear one and they seem not to care about the difference.

Need your advice asap.

Thanks

Wire length might be different, not sure if the diameter is different. 95-96 cars have the rear O2 sensor in the cat, while 97+ are in a pipe right after the cat.

So long as the diameter's the same you oughta be ok...

So the only thing is about the diameter? Should it be something else? The circuit, the wire? I got almost no idea about car and new to this forum too.

Thanks a lot

IIRC it's a different type of sensor, but due to the physical size difference you won't be able to confuse the two anyway.

I got it replaced already. It fits. So it should not be any problem, right?

Thanks

If you don't have a check engine light, you're fine.
