rear of car issue

i have a popping type sound coming from the rear right wheel when i take off from 1st and switch to 2nd, and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd....i have some theories of what it could be, worn spring or shock, or just loose ones, but it doesnt do it EVERY time...if ne1 has ne info that could help me id appreciate it greatly( it is a 1990 240SX)...and any info on body kit sources, performance sources etc that are highly recommended, i would enjoy that as well, thanks to all of those who help, later

Are you sure its coming from the wheel? Mine makes a popping sound when switching gears, but it is the syncros in the transmission.
