If pull the trans on my 2002 Infinity to change the rear main seal ,I would plan to use a crankshaft repair sleeve.I found one offered for 2002 pathfinder 3.5 at Rock .... but the sleeve wasn't listed for qx4 .Is the 3.5 engine on the qx4 the same as the pathfinder?Seems like it would be.

I see the same NATIONAL 99189 crankshaft repair sleeve part number listed on Rockauto for the 2002 Pathfinder and QX4. The same crankshaft seals are also listed. There are a few difference between the build up of these Pathfinder and QX4 engines but they both start with the same VQ35DE engine block.

Your topic subject "rear main seal speedy sleeve 3.5" I just realized may be referring to the SKF 99331 Speedi-Sleeve sold on Rockauto for the Pathfinder but not found for the QX4. This sleeve has a much larger diameter than the National 99189 sleeve which does indicate that it is meant for the rear crankshaft seal, not the front like the National part indicates. Not sure why the SKF sleeve would not work with the 2002 QX4 since it takes the same seal as the 2002 Pathfinder. Best to check with the supplier Rockauto or the producer SKF to be sure.
