Rear main seal retainer: same as FWD SR20DE?

I need a new rear main seal retainer ASAP.

Is it the same as on the FWD SR?

Anyone know?

I just read on 2 "other" forums that the FWD one will work. I'll confirm in the morning.

The guy at heavythrottle said they are not the same.

Someone needs to take that part number out of the SR parts guide because when I told the dealer to look it up he said it was the FWD one.

I was told no several times by people that said they were positive. If you can find a FWD one I would just try and see. I got one off a guy that was parting his rwd sr out so I never saw a fwd one.

Call Heavy Throttle. http://www.heavythrottle.com Front main seal is $13 and rear main is $19. They are OE parts also.

The rear main seal Retainers are different, but the front and rear main seals are the same for both the fwd and rwd.
