i noticed a small oil leak at the back of the engine where it meets the bell housing so i figured it was the rear main seal. i was going to change the clutch anyway so i bought a rear seal kit. i replaced the big o-ring type seal but not the other two fabric ones because they looked alright. well i've put about 2000 miles on the car since then and the leak is still there, possibly worse. could i have installed it wrong? should i have changed the other two seals too? should i look elsewhere for leaks? i know it's not the valve cover gasket. any other ideas?

Was there oil in the bellhousing?

It could be a bad seal on the trans input shaft...trans fluid, not motor oil.
