I have the classic rear-end wobble due to worn out bushings on the rear lower control arms. I bought new control arms and bolts. I have tried without success to break the nuts with an impact drill. My only hope now is to cut them off. I can't use a torch on the driver side due to the gas tank. Does anybody have any suggestions on the best way to cut these off?

Thanks!

Paul

try a 3/4" breaker bar or in other terms a 4' or 1m in america piece of iron pipe over a 1/2" ratchet, lube it up the night before and b4 u lube it up u might want to sand it down with a wire brush

Try some Power Blaster, let it soak then the pipe over the ratchet. You'll either break it loose or twist if off.

Just a cutoff wheel. The axle side bolts of the control arms will definatly be rustwelded to the bushing sleve. you'll just have to cut them off and replace the bolts. but it looks like you got new bolts already. Cut between the axle bracket and the control arm on each side.
