I am upgrading bushings on my S13 and notices the rear lower control arm ball joint is blown. I've gotten it out but now need new ones. The factory charge a pretty penny for one (~100+ dollars each) and was wondering if anyone has replaced this gotten it from anywhere else. I've searched at napa but no luck. (i tried napa because I got the front bal joint for my 5 lug swap). Thanks in advance.

i tried a lot of places locally and never found it. even the stealerships around here do not carry it. i dont think nissan offers it. its the whole arm or nothing.

i bought 2 new arms. replaces brand new rubber for eurathane bushing. done. but costly.

they should, because if it comes off of the arms, then there should be a part number for it rather than replacing a perfectly good arm just to get a ball joint. ANd i've already cut and pressed ES bushings on my old arms so I don't want to go through the hassle of cutting the new arms. U know?

I've been through this before and unfortunately, you gotta get new lower control arms. Not for the front, just the rear.

EDIT:(found on Z ilvia)...
Adikt@z1lvia wrote:S13 & S14 Rear Ball JointsNissan doesn't sell the ball joint separate from the rear lower control arm. Upon doing some digging the following will work in the rear

S13 = B13 SE-R front, we used MOOG Part # K9449

S14 = Same as S14 front, I used MOOG Part # K9820

okay good news and bad news. got the ball joints from the b13 but got the lower ones only thinkin that would be it. turns out that the b13 ball joints are about 1mm bigger in diameter than the s13 so wondering when u say front, did u mean the upper or lower?

The part # K9449 is for the lower ball joint. I am stuck in the same position as you not knowing where the hell I am going to get the rear ball joints and I dont want to buy 2 new control arms just to have new ball joints.

WHAT A PAIN!

Autoparts warehouse is pretty decent with prices. Fast shipping, and I picked up two new front LCA's with balljoints already pressed in for about 80 each...WITH free shipping. I buy replacement parts from them all the time, and I am still nothing but satisfied.
