The question is a Cargo Net is a Cargo net!if its not meant to use a Cargo Net, then why does it have the hook and ring design in the cargo area? Did it ever specify that DO NOT user any other cargo net other than EX35? because Infiniti DO NOT even have a cargo net specified for EX35.
I assume you get all your schedule maintenances from Infiniti Dealers?for all the people that doesn't get it form Infiniti dealer, I guess they don't deserve to have the Infiniti Warranty either? Since they are not original Infiniti Service Techs, and Not original infiniti service parts?
The question is about if this was a good or bad design. If they had taken in mind that the Cargo Net might easily get caught, then LET the users know!!! like Caution, do not use other cargo nets, or do not use cargo nets at all!!! the best is not to have the ring and hook for the cargo nets.If they didn't specify, that means they didn't take in mind or test it enough to find out. Us users are not Lab Rats to test for them and find out what's wrong with it. What if this was more serious? for example if by having an cargo net there, for whatever the weird reason, some how the lift gate just spring open and broke someone's nose??? it spring open so fast, that most people wouldn't have been able to avoid. would that still be user's fault??? People only take it seriously when someone gets hurt, or killed. We are their customers, users, not their R&D dept not their paid testers!we are not supppose to be here and trying to figure out what they have done wrong. That's why we paid the big bucks for their car and designs!!I am not saying let's pour water into the fuel tank, or hammer on the windows. Just normal daily use. use common sense. A cargo net is NOT meant to be used in a cargo area? that's not common sense. If I've used the Cargo Net on the Roof Rails, then yea that's not common sense.

Please don't forget that your Cargo Net was made for a G35 and NOT a EX35.
It's people like you that force the Dealers to get all defensive about fixing stuff that was broken by owners and their aftermarket Parts. In this case, it wasn't an aftermarket Part, but rather one that was made for another Car.
