Has anyone had the pleasure of replacing the rear heater core on a 2013 Platinum ? I noticed the exhaust tip was wet , looked up and saw one of the rear heater core hoses were leaking. No problem right? I touched it and it fell apart, welcome to the rust belt lol. It's bypassed as of right now, but i'm going in next weekend. Any tips, tricks or advice?

It's a complete PITA. You need to remove the rear HVAC and split the case, which means the A/C has to be recovered. You can clamp the hoses to avoid draining the entire cooling system, but prime the new core as much as possible before bolting the HVAC back in. Getting at the HVAC in the first place isn't easy, the lower cargo trim has to come out. See VTL-18 and VTL-24:

I figured it's going to be a pita.. Just another day in the hood for me. I'm a Benz tech and im use to pita's Have u done one before?
