Given the Nissan OEM structs are about $175 for each gas strut for the rear hatch, are they any recommended aftermarket vendors recommended ? Thx for ant and all gel.

Even if you don't have a large(r) aftermarket rear wing if you live in a colder climate it's worth it to upgrade to the higher capacity struts. Even in Tennessee I've caught a couple of whacks to the back of my head thanks to the cold temps having their way with the functioning of the stock struts.

Thx, busybadger for the info. RIght now, I do not have a wing or spoiler on the rear hatch. However, I do live in cold climate in Penn., and there is definitely a difference in the performance of the stock struts in colder weather, as you've attested to. This looks like a good selection of vendors to chose from and I will get the higher performance ones. Thx again, Rick

I've had the blown hatch struts for almost 2+ years already, I'm surprised I don't have a concussion from all the times i got that bastard dropped in my head.

Z1 motorsports for the win. And funny Josh mentions the 240 - I dropped my brother's hatch on my head the other day ... totally forgot the hatch struts were hanging on by a thread.
