Rear hatch is leaking hardcore

i recently bought my second hatch and this one has a problem of leaking it looks like nothing is wet or ever damp? but i lifting the spare tire holder thingy and there three inches of water. the only reason i look is caiuse my car smelled like water. so if anyone has any sug. hit me up. also there is not a touch or rust at all.

water could be leaking in from the taillights. the seals dry out and water can get in them.read this: http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/water_leaks.htm
