Rear hatch door locked and i can't open it.

I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder and i'm looking for instructions on how to fix my back hatch door.
It will not open with key fob, and if i use the key the back hatch window will open but turning it to the left to open the hatch itself does not work. Thanks for the help!!!

It may really depend on what is stuck. First thing I would do is to familiarize myself with the mechanism by seeing if there are any diagrams in the Factory Service Manual. Some strategic banging might help too.

Does the mechanism seem jammed or is something disconnected?

I can't tell, looking up factory service manual. The owners manual doesn't have any help.
