you know how the murano's fob has a button that if held for a few seconds opens the auto lift gate (if so equipped). well, heres a good one for you guys...

today, i'm in my office, and a coworker pops his head in and asks if i know my rear hatch is open. well, of course, i say no and doubt what he says to be true as i get up to go check. well lo and behold theres my mo w/ her back door wide open!!! all i could think was thank god our lot is locked down, what if this happens in a public lot? or if i'm parallel parked and it opens and hits a car parked behind me? at the time i have 3 sets of golf clubs back there! lol

i'm guessing the button was depressed in my pocket w/out my knowledge. now i'm paranoid lol

Yep, that has happened to me before. Luckily my office is 10 feet from the parking lot and I have a window so that I can see the Mo. It's only happened once thankfully.

You might want to consider a fob cover. I got one for eachof our fobs and it's cut down to about zero the inadvertant hatch openings. The ones we got we call fob "condoms", has a elastic fabric cover with clear plastic over the buttons. So far they have worked very well, and no issues for a year now.
