I just put a huge dent in the back of my 95 . It is right behind the back right wheel. I took it to maaco and they said it would be 200. Does anyone know if their are any bodykits i could put on to replace or cover it up. Nothing riced out, just maybe wider.(not driving my moms car)

Well, your first mistake was taking your car to maccos. They'd just find some way to cover up the dent with some crap like bondo. Your second mistake was thinking of just covering it up yourself with a body kit. Don't cover up body damage! Fix it. It may cost more but at least it won't look poo. And you'll be happy you did in the long run. Trust me on that one. Also, if you sell your car. The next guy wont have to pay 3 grand to have all that bondo crap and broken body kit crap pulled off professionally like I had to do.

thnks for the advice. i would make sure the body wouldn't rust if i put new fenders over it.i only took it to macco to get an estimate, i would have taken it to a real bodyshop. does anyone know if i could unbolt the rear fenders(probably a stupid question), i know its attached to the roof.

quarterpanels can be taken off...just gotta cut em out. Well if there's a huge dent, try to take a ball hammer to it, that's if you can get to the dent from the inside to hammer the dent out. If not, you can use a dent puller. Drill a hole in the dent and pull out the dent gradually. Don't expect to drill only 1 hole to pop out a big dent, use several to pop out the big dent. Then fill up the hole with stuff of your choice, sand down smooth to the metal, primer, and paint.

Just for a reference.......

I have an S13 coupe and the passenger side rear quarter panel was backed into, bending the metal around the gas cap, ect. I took it to the best body shop in town (by my own experience) and they said Nissan still makes replacement rear quarter panels for $390 a piece! The total to fix it will be $2600 because of the labor.............but I think that you get what you pay for.

These guys replaced the entire front end of my 98 200SX SE-R and gave me an itemized parts list with man hours and even asked if I wanted to watch them work. When I got the car back, it looked even better than new!

Oh yeah! $2600 for a dent is a hell of a lot of money, and that's why I haven't done anything about it. The car looks fine from fifteen feet away and the motor is super strong (thanks to me) and everything works great. I just don't see the point of fixing it unless the car was going to be a trailer queen. Since I want a "time attack track slut" I should probably add more dents!!!

if the dent is over a wide area( not a door ding type dent) laugh if you will......... but a toilet plunger works very well to pop out large panel dents.
