Rear ended a few months ago, took the car to my dad's collision shop and now the trunk won't open from the outside. I have the keyless entry system, and the remote and trunk release button on the trunk lid itself won't release to open up. What do i need to repair/replace?

You need a precision adjustment lever.

or stop being lazy, crawl your butt in the trunk with a light, pull apart interior panels and manually pull on the trunk cable.

.
:chuckle:

Did you ask your father's collision shop the same question? Unless you need a new battery in your remote, the collision shop might need to do a little more straightening, so when the release is activated, (assuming it wasn't damaged in the accident and is functioning), that it clears the grip.

Whoops, I misread. My apologies. I didn't see that the car was already repaired. But the crowbar still stands.

Did you check to see if the pigtail between the main trunk loom and the trunk release was intact and/or plugged in correctly?

:welcome: to Nico!

Will the trunk open from inside the car?? If so that would more than likely mean the battery in the remote could be dead.
