The datsun 510 came with an open R160, in a 3.90 ratio.A direct LSD bolt in is a subaru R160 from the mid eighties. THey were an option in some turbo cars back in the day. Modern subaru differentials wont work because of the way the halfshafts are retained in the diff. THe R180 can be found pretty easily in open form, and there are expensive LSD units availble for them. BUt it really is not necessary for an SR swap, even a 365WHP SR swap (Know someone who runs the R160 in a car like this, no problems). The R160 can take a huge amount of abuse before you see any signs of wear. The R200 is huge and way overkill for the little 510. You are limited by traction, so unless you plan to put on 14" slicks, and hard launch it, dont worry about it. Also, any one of the 6 u-joints will probably go out before the diff does.Basically, put in a R160 LSD and forget about it. THe swap has lot more difficult aspects than this that need attention.
