Hello,
We have a 2001 QX4 with 257,000 miles, and it still runs exceptionally well. I notice when I accelarate, when the torque from the drive shaft gets to the rear drive tire, I believe it is the right rear tire, the back of the vehicle feels like it wants to slip from under us, which in turns, causes the front end to want to do the same.
My questions is: what is back there that will cause it phenominon? Is it wheel bearings, loose rubber bushings, ect...
Thanks

worn out rear lower link arms bushing... this is a typical issue with the pathfinder after a few years. many change them with polyurethane bushing, or simply change the whole arms... (less work like this, but cost more).

What fleurvs said.

I've got 205,000 miles and did mine recently. I used poly. See

It made a world of difference in the handling and straight-line
stability.

And if the lowers are shot, so are the uppers.

And think about doing the shocks while things are apart.

Hey guys. I just replaced both the upper and lower trailing arm bushings with urethane ones in the rear, because I had the same problem. I was a tech. for Nissan and we saw this regularly. I had a really hard time finding urethane bushings and I didn't want to replace them with the stock/aftermarket rubber ones. So I found some from Australia. I inquired about ordering direct, but shipping was over $100. I found a local distributor and ordered two of the rear sets and one of the front control arms. No shipping charges...I have a set of the T/C (radius) Rod bushings on order as well. Those rear bushings are such a huge difference! Better than new! I'm talking Antarctica to Bahamas different... here is the link to Whiteline Products...They may not have them in stock as they had to produce mine and it took just about 6 weeks. It took me a few hours at home (but I have a hydraulic press) and I'm glad I searched for the much improved urethane over rubber.

Good luck.

4x4parts sells polyurethane bushing kits. I don't know how much you paid for yours, so I'm not sure if 4x4parts' pricing is crazy or not.
