Yep, sounds like the joint between the rear axle and the driveshaft has about bit the dust. Same thing happened to my friend's '65 Mustang... while I was driving it... OUCH!

i have felt around and tried to move the shafts up and down, didnt find there was much play, although i am missing one screw on one of the output shafts going to the drivers side wheel. any other way i should go about checking it or do i need it up on a lift to be sure?

you need to replace that missing screw and retorq the rest of them. then recheck it for the vibration.

ok, any certain bolt, or match up with the others? also could it just be the limited slip trying to lock up and it not working?

what are you thinking of? the four bolts before you get to the diff? then today i was drifting in the rain and as soon as it locked up, no shaking. but if it was a slow drift it shook
