Hello guys and gals, im new here to the site, and am thankful that i found you guys. ive got a 98 q45, and she just started swaying back and fourth in the rear end. ive checked my tires, and they look good. the shocks are pretty worn, would this have anything to do with this problem, and what can i do to at least settle it down until i can replace them. i saw a j30 post that had similar problems, and his remedy was weighting it down until he was able to replace with some used parts. just wanted to know if im on the right track. There are a lot of mods i want to do to her, but first i have to repair the worn or broken. if you can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

OF COURSE by 4 years or 60,000 miles shocks are 1/2 the brand new stiffness and function.

Failure to replace them at frequent intervals shows lack of care or lack of automotive engineering education.

Back in 60's and 70's shocks lasted < 30K but we drove less so they lasted the same 4 years.
