Hello,Can anybody explain to me how the rear end works on 03 m45 without lsd?why some times my car leaves one tire mark and some times double?

It's an open rear end with TCS, so it only reduces power to the spinning wheel rather than transferring the power to the wheel with traction as an LSD does.

When you have good and equal traction, no TCS intervention and double stripes.

Put it in neutral, rev it up to about 6,000 RPM and drop it into drive with accelerator floored and report back to us.

turn off the TCS (traction control system) pit into first gear and with gentle power braking you should get two marks. or just punch it and you should get two. i rarely get one. Have you serviced your rearend lately? drain and fill with synthetic

i got full synthetic all around.i did bunch of lunches, looks like two marks most of the time, but still cant figure out why i see one some time. i think when just flooring it without power braking it will leave one mark and with any kind of power braking you will see two.i going to try both.thanks,Caug
