Hi, i'm having a whacky noise come from the rear (i think) of my car when i let off the accelerator in gear. i start hearing it if i let off the gas around 40mph +. I just had my clutch replaced today and now i have another problem!! please help!

EDIT: i dunno if this could be why...but earlier when i was turning into a parking lot, i turned too sharp and my right rear tire clipped the curb.... it didn't seem to mess up my alignment...but could that be a factor??

Most likely you need to replace your subframe bushings. Does it make this "clunk" when you turn sharply or brake hard? Do a search on "Bushings" that might help you out.

I had the same f'n clunking on my 95 240, the subframe bushings were completely shot, so I bought the align and lock spacer kit from PDM, and no more clunk, theres a little more drivetrain noise, but soon I'll replace the bushings too. I figure the spacers are a temp fix.Not bad for 75 bucks, and 15 minutes
