Hey guys, i just recently noticed this on my car. You know how when you come to a stop, the car jerks back a tiny bit? Well, when this happens on my Armada, there is a noise coming from the rear end of the car. I think it might be the break pads against the rotors. It doesn't make a noise when i go over bumps, it only does it when i come to a stop. It does sound like the noise is coming from somewhere around the tires. I just got my car back from the dealer about a week ago for the 30K mile check-up and to get a new windshield. they said my rear breaks were more worn than the front, which is wierd i know. They said there is 6 mm left on the rear pads. I'm not a break expert... Is that considered almost worn out? and would that mean the pads aren't gripping the rotors well enough and than make the noise i'm hearing? Thanks for the help.

6mm is still plenty of brake pad left. If they did the 30 then they should have done a suspension and brake inspection/check. Go back to the dealer and let your service writer know your concern. It could be just normal brake grip. My G does that as well.
