I get a rear end low pitch booming kind of bang whenever I accelerate or decelerate (both from a start or while already rolling at any speed) or shift from neutral (clutch feels fully disengaged Because no grinding when shifting or powered rolling with it depressed like you were clutch creeping at a light). Also when I put it in gear at a stop and it bangs it actually can jerk the car just a tiny bit but that might just be dying synchros. I'm not sure if this is the same as the clunking people report from dead subframe or diff bushings Because imo it's really not a clunk but a deep boom as I said. What else besides the subframe bushings could cause a noise like this? Could it be too much slop in the diff maybe? I did change the oil the other day and it was nearly black with enough fleck to look like metallic paint and it had some very tiny chunks that I liken to beach sand but a little finer I guess. Obviously that's not good but it's an open diff on a 130k+ mile neglected car i got for $1000 so I mean it's not really a surprise.

On a side note, why is it so hard to get ahold of Steve from 300zx parts for you? I sent him an email a month ago and another like a week ago to two of his different email addresses and I haven't heard anything back.

Lets start off by clarifying you do have a Z31 (1984-1989 300ZX)? You never said what model of car you were dealing with but from the subframe bushings descriptive and you referencing a 300zx parts supplier I'm guessing Z31?

It's tough to describe a sound, the rear subframe bushings are a typical issue on these cars after so many years and it's a good place to start and easy enough to check. Diff issues tend to be described more often as a "Clunk" again describing a sound not supper accurate way to communicate. Metal in the diff oil is definitely a bad thing and could indicate a much larger issue. You also have cv shafts and U joints in your drive shaft that could be the source of your "Bang" although CV's most often as described a "clicking" and U joints most often "squeak". Ultimately you'll need to get under the car and start checking things for excess movement.

Right I forgot I don't have my car in my sig here. Its an 86 z31 gll. Yeah sounds rarely translate well through text so when I get I chance I'll take a video of it. Other than the banging the car seems fine mechanically speaking, engines fine, transmission doesn't grind or kick out of gear, no crazy noises or wobbles while driving (again aside from bang), the differential... differentiates.
I would just swap the sub bushings Because they're only $50 anyway but all of the work that goes into dropping everything and removing the old ones is what's stopping me at this point especially because i dont have air tools so everything would have to be broken by hand :facepalm2. But if I find anything doing a wiggle test I'll add it to the video later.
