hey hey, well i've got a knock noise comming from the back end when i move the shift stick into the next gear up. It only knocks once, and when just about and under 2k rmp.

Like this,.. first gear, rev up to 2Krpm, clutch, move shift stick to 2nd gear (at that point when moving the shifter past neutral theres a knock, then your in 2nd and i rev up to 2Krpm same thing when shifting. Note* if i rev higher than 2K rpm, no knock, everything feels solid.

Back in the fall i replaced my subframe with a new one, aluminum bushings, new suspension parts (control arms, struts, springs) but the knock existed before that job.

I'm thinking u joint or soemthing. Help me out please!

this probably isnt the problem since you did all that subframe work

but mine and my friends clunked and we wondered what it was

when we looked at it we found that the j30 in his car, the bushings were well...gone..and it had alot of room to move, so it clunked

mine clunks too...i got a j30 im assuming its cause the bushings are bad

maybe thats your clunk too...im getting some aluminum bushings for the j30 sometime soon to solve that

I had a problem like this...

It turned out to be looks differential mounting bolts.

They may not appear loose, but maybe when you get a wrench on them.A little locktite would not hure either.

good luck

seems right, could be those differential bushings.. i've just spent 2 hours browsing from them tho, and couldnt find a single online place that had them. I could go dealership, but i want aftermarket. know of any place i could find them?
