wussup...i bought some tokico blues/eibach sportlines from my car.. 1992 s13 ... i installed the front strut/springs and everything was fine... but when i installed the rears... something is wrong...the front are reacting fine.. just how i expected.. but the back.. when it hits a bump.. the right rear jumps out.. like the shock is off balance with the rest of them... and its reacting in a different manner and time as the other ones... i also hear a grinding rattling noise coming from the same right rear shock.. and i was wondering if u guys ever heard/experienced anything like this b4?possiblities for the problem:- i think it could be the strut mount being broken?- the shock is defective?

any help is much appreciated...

did you have to remove the upper control arm when installing the shock/strut? sounds like its a loose control arm that would cause it to "jump out". id reread the installation directions to see if you missed anything, and make sure all the bolts were tightened to the proper specs. i installed my AGX/whiteline spring combo about a month ago and have been replacing pretty much all the suspension's bushings within the past month and i cant really think of anything that would cause this. can you elaborate on the grinding noise? do you see any unusual wear on the shock/spring or suspension components from that area?

i didnt remove the upper control arm... i actually had the entire spring/shock/strut mount already assembled so all i did was take out the top 2 nuts holding the shock to the chassis in the trunk... and took out the 1 bolt holding the shock to the suspension underneith the car... and when putting the tokicos in... just simply bolted everything up... if it was an upper control arm... it would cause this problem?... it feels like the entire rear suspension is hopping out... i mean i havent changed any bushings on the car since i bought it... it was on my to-do list for next summer...

nah, if you didnt touch the control arms on the installation then i doubt thats the problem. id retorque all the bolt down to the proper specs, especially the two bolts on the strut tower holding the strut assembly in place.
