Rear E-brake Cable Replacement

Wow....haven't been out here in a while.

2000 Infiniti I30tDenver, CO128,000 miles

Anyone have any experience replacing the rear e-brake cable on the passenger side.

Did a rear brake pad replacement today and noticed the passenger rear e-brake cable is broken.

Cable looks to cost about $70.

I traced the cable underneath a heatshield in the center of the car, but don't see where it attaches to the equalizer bar. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a diagram of the rear parking brake cables. It looks to connect somewhere close to the parking brake assembly.
