Oh, cool... in that case is like $1,700 at www.infinitpartsusa.com but shop it around ebay, you may get lucky. I believe those things only came in M's with the Premium package and it's a drop down screen from the roof... not in the headrests, gl.bphurley79 wrote:I know, and I am putting plenty of mods on my car. But the interior is the only thing I want to look stock. That is why I was hoping to find the OEM screen and controls
If you give your dealership a ring they will probably be able to give you a price quote. I'm sure it won't be a cheap quote, not to mention installation charges if you choose to have them install the items.bphurley79 wrote:I have a 2007 M45 Sport with NAV but no rear DVD, I cant seem to find anywhere to get pricing on the OEM rear DVD system....any help?
Good looking out man, I need to get this DVD's installed in my car soon before my kids die of boredom in the back of the car, lol. If you beat me to the punch let me know how good the DVD players work, thanks.pedsemdoc wrote:Hey a.blanco0905
I've been thinking about installing headrest dvd players as well and saw your original post...it doesn't seem too difficult and I would also be interested to see what the quality of those players is like. I have bought many a thing off Fleabay, but I sometimes worry when it comes to electronics if the seller doesn't have a decent return policy or it is coming from overseas. I saw one of the merchants also has their own website and is a US dealer with a warranty and decent return policy + one of their 9 inch player kits comes with a 12V plug adaptor in case you don't want to tap into your fuse box or cut into wiring. You could just plug into the rear middle console outlet and put everything back to stock in case you want to.
The company (http://www.onfair.com) will even send you a sample to see if their "leather?" tan/black/gray is a good enough match. I'm thinking I am gonna try to get a sample. I have the graphite/black interior. I may try it on the wifey's car first to see it I like it and then do mine (she's got a 2003 Acura MDX). gl with the install...Craig
Hey Freddie, that's a pretty cool dvd player and it seems uber simple to install, but there's no wireless headphones included or even supported with this DVD player and I needs dat man... plus it's only one and I have 2 kids with 4 year age difference = headache.06M4.5 wrote:I was thinking of getting something like this around spring time

I didnt know that, thanks for the heads up.06M4.5 wrote: I really don't like how big the aftermarket headrest are, they just look to fat. I have seen them in person and thet are really big. the only way around this is to install tv's in the oem headrest.
There's good Dominican upholstery shops in Washington Heights and in Paterson, they usually dont do cars because they especialize in couches and things along those lines but if you bring them the fabric they might be able to do it for you for a good price. I dont recall any in particular off the top of my head. Also if you find a motorcycle shop where they do custom work, they usually do upholstery on motorcycle seat... you could ask them, it's worth a shot.06M4.5 wrote:the only way I would get the roof tv if I find someone to do my headliner in suede which I'm shopping for now but around me it's very expensive.

Yeah I know, I've been in touch with drift too... and I'm guessing you want to do the headliner before you do the dvd in order for it blend in.06M4.5 wrote:infinitedrift paid $600 in Florida
that price was for headliner, all pillars and rug.
if I find a good deal on the headliner job I will try to add a roof tv.

I'll call to see what they say.mexillis wrote:^ try idealisticdesign.com, I seen his work in person and it was top notch. He gave me a good quote but I havent been able to get that done yet plus he's far as hell from where I live.
