Rear DVD entertainment remote control part number?

Hello everyone,

I have a 2006 M45 Sport with the rear DVD entertainment system. I couldn't get to the "menu" on certain dvds using the front/center touch screen so I bought what was labeled as an OEM remote. Part M4C477072C and it doesn't do anything. I put fresh batteries in and NADA!
Did I buy the wrong one? Your help is appreciated

Welcome to the forum. One of our members who has the rear entertainment should be able to provide that info for you shortly. I unfortunately never had that system.

Thanks for the great, informative reply but HOLY BALLS that price is too rich for my blood
After all the yelling and cussing stopped we realized that if the car was in park with the brake on, we could get to all of the menu options from the "dashboard" screen. We'll just "make do" until a cheaper one comes up on Ebay.

I just bought a used one on EBay that's OEM. It took me years to find one. I'll give you the part number when I get back home. I gotta say that it's a very hard item to find if you're looking to buy a used one.
