I did my rear drum brakes about a month ago and what I noticed after doing them is squealing every other turn as if they need to be turned. Its a low squeal but noticeable. Does this mean I need to have them turned?

I always have the drums turned when I do the drum brakes. You also may have to buy new drums if there isn't enough material left to turn, so a heads up on that. Haven't done them on my Pathfinder, but when you put them back on did you adjust them? If so maybe back it off a little.

I did back it off some to where it had a tad bit risistance to it when putting it back on. But I still notice a slight vibration when stopping or going very slow I could feel it give and take very slightly.

It should wear itself in after some miles, sounds like a high spot. How many miles have you gone since doing them?

Probably like 600 miles.

Try backing it off a little more, Jack it up and spin the tire and it should spin with some resistance but not to the point it stops quickly. Or you can take it off and get some "brakeCleen" a green scouring pad and a dust mask. Sand on the drum where the high spots are, you should be able to see them. Note that you don't use the drums for braking as much as the pads in the front, so more miles maybe needed to wear in.

But when I back off of it some more wouldn't it readjust to a more suitable point?

I think if you got them adjusted with a slight drag you are okay, put more miles on them and they will quiet down. :dblthumb:

What about the hot spot? Its annoying. You think if I have them turned that would do away with it?

Yes If you have them turned or buy new ones they will be even all the way around. I would do it soon because you just did the shoes.
