Rear drum brake drag

Versa07 hatchback 3800 miles.> With rear wheels off of the ground and parking brake fully released, there is a slight lining/drum contact when both wheels are rotated- not enough to heat the drums when driving but something that I want to eliminate. I backed off the self-adjusting ratchets to get 360 degree clearance. After two weeks of driving, the ratchets had taken up the clearance and brake drag returned. Should I be concerned about this? Is there a way of disabling the self-adjusting mechanism?
