These steps are unique to all Maximas:Pull the lower part of the door panel out away from the door. It is held in place by plastic snap retainers, so you can do this by hand. They're easy to loose so keep track of them or you won't get a perfectly clean seal when you replace the panel.

After you've un-snapped all the retainers, you can simply lift the panel off the door. Be careful with any electrical connections: you may need to disconnect them before you lift it off if there's not enough slack.

Aside from that, there may be other steps specific to your year, such as screws holding the arm rest to the door, handle removal, etc.Once you post up the year of your car, I can post up the specific procedure for your year.
