That toyota thread got me thinking about this again. It's a future upgrade, but as long as I'm hitting the junkyard this weekend I thought I should look. For the upgrade, I need Maxima rear brackets right? What years, might fit? then the Discs and calipers should be the same as the front right? or do I need different shoes, since the rear usually has less show surface area. I'm going to the junkyards to see what's availiable, and to pick up cores. I'm suprised how few S130 turbos are left here in NM, most I've found are $1500+ for donor cars

the maxima brackerts are 82-84 (the 81 was welded on), basically any rear wheel drive maxima with brackets that aren't welded on, the swap uses S130 rear disks and S13 rear calipers

some also use the 85-88 fwd maxima rear brackets with S130 caliper and 84-85 Z31 N/A rotor but this requires extending the e-brake cable to reach, and enlarging the center botre of the bracket to ft over the hub

there was a guy on ebay that sold brackets annd kits using machined alumnum brackets that bolt on, and if you want to spend more, modern motorsports, and MSA aslo sell similar conversion kits and brackets

Yeah, I don't want to pay too much more than I have to, so 82-84 Maxima brackets, ZX rotors and 89-94 240SX calipers. K, gotcha... I'll look this weekend, maybe I'll get lucky and find the parts cheap.

Thanks Evildky... Phar
