Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, and did run a search but came up empty-handed.

I have an 86 hardbody (reg.cab., short bed, V6, 4x4, 5-spd) and was wandering the local pick-'n-pull and came across an early Pathfinder with rear disc brakes.

I'm curious to see if anyone out there has swapped their drums for the disc, or if general concensus is to just leave it alone. I just prefer the disc for their ease of maintenance and replacing. Do I need to get the whole rear axle, or do both drum and disc equipped axles have the same mounting points and hubs?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a straight bolt in swap, but you will need a front/rear proportioning valve to equalize the brakes.
