I wanted to do this from the start and this morning on the way to school I noticed how bad drum brakes really are...don't ask .

So I would really like to know if this is possible and if anyone has done this conversion.

I was thinking of going to junkyard and taking apart the rear disc brake system of a 3.5 se if i can find one. The only problem is then i really wouldn't know what to do...

Were you able to do the conversion using the Sentra? What year of the Sentra do you have to use? I'm trying to do the same thing with my 99 GXE and no one seems to be able to find a kit.

Are you asking about your '05 Altima? I always thought they came with 4 wheel disc. My '06 does.As for the Sentra, only the SE-R has rear discs. I also have an '03 Sentra SE-R by the way, and the rear discs are really small. Even if they fit, I don't think you'd want to use them on a bigger car. I had to replace the rear discs before the fronts. They were shot at 60,000Kms (about 36,000 miles).Good luck.

No, I was asking about a '99 Altima. Supposedly you can use the rear discs from a Sentra SE-R to do a drum to disc conversion but I'm trying to find out what year of the Sentra needs to be used to do so. But thanks for the heads up.
