rear diff

will the vlsd insides of the pumpkin fit in the the pumpkin of a open diff on a 1990 240sx. has anyone done this before. reason asking is every one with a vlsd that replaces with an aftermarket diff used there pumkin and put the new insides in and you left with the vlsd insides without the pumkin i can find a few of them for really cheep but cant find the whole thing as one for a good price

i have tried to exchanged the VLSD before. I tried to put the vlsd into a open diff but it did not fit because the open diff was too small and the vlsd was too big so it won't work. the reason why i did this is because i didn't want to get the ABS drive shaft.

man look around...

there are is a surplus of vsld pumpkins in the market. You have other cars that are not s chassis cars that you can pull from as well. Search around the forum and you will see the options. There is no need to replace internals when its so easy to find a low cost VSLD that will only need to be bolted up.

ya only reason asking is i could get it one for dirt cheep but i think i found one from a skyline r32 gts he said it bolts up
