I have 2 hardbody 2wd trucks. a 95 & 96 the axle code on the door jamb for both trucks is hf 35 but the two are totaly different in apperance. the 95 has a removeable third member similar to an old ford 9" . the 96 has a removeable rear cover how can I tell what is really in each truck??

well it kinda sound like one the one with the 3ed you can take out is not the stock one for the truck unless its from a 4x4 or is a se that make a diff. so what do you have a 2x4 or 4x4 4cyl v6. if its a 2x4 it has a HF35 - H190 axle found in weenie 2wd Hardbodies.

The one with the drop out 3rd is an H190 axle. The one with the removable cover would likely be the slightly larger C200, though the HF35 axle code isn't right for a C200. It should be something like CA35.
