ok i have searched and asked around and still no answer...

first off a comment about the 1990 240 spec chart under faq section...so far all the gear oils i have come across sell them in quarts, not pints its kinda hard to figure out much to get/put in unless you do math or look elsewhere

anyways im gonna be buying some redline 75w90 gear oil for my car, i was thinking to get it for the transmission and my non lsd diff.

when you guys talk about m/t90 you mean 75w90 and not straight 90w right?

and i know that the 75w90 is safe in the transmission, but what about the rear differetial, it calls for 80w90 gl5 and redline doesnt make a 80w90 oil that i have come across.....

YOU ARE ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH, YOU DIDNT SEARCH. PLEASE USE SEARCH NEXT TIME.

meh... 2 pints=1 quart

75W90 GL5 is ok for the open diff... N E ways, you'll haveta fill until the oil oozes out of the fill hole (w/ a leveled, lifted car)

yea i know how to drain and fill it i was just curious as to if the 75w90 was in the diff, thanks.

as for sanioll i did search, i tried rear diff gear oil, rear diff, rear differential, differential oil, transmission oil, transmission oil, gear oil, 75w90, and a couple others.

i didnt try differential on its own you got me there, but as far as callling me a newb and a liar is going a bit far and actually a childish act. so say what you want but how you say it makes you look bad.......

sorry for offending you, but i did word my sentence carefully.I said "youre not telling the truth". lying and not telling the truth are totally different things.

but yeah, if you go with mobil1, then 75w-90 is okay for summer and really good for winter.
