Rear Diff Fluid And Transmision Fluid Capacity?

Hey guys I have a 1996 240sx and i need to know how much manuel transmision fluid and rear differential fluid my car takes, because Im changing them both. Also what weight is the Rear Diff fluid?...Thanks

Owners manual, and the FSM can tell you thing. But for the diff just fill until the fill hole starts to leak some.

3 quarts of 75w-90, 80w-90 will work just fine too for the transmission and 2 quarts of 85w-90 or gear oil for the diff.

That would be one quart for the rear diff. The FSM calls for 2 PINTS. That mistake cost me a pair of axle seals.

Hmmmmm well thats kinda wierd cuz my diff took almost 2 quarts. And thats what my manual says and a guy at a 240 shop here in dayton says almost 2 quarts. Idk man Im think 2 quarts incase you spill some filling the pumpkin up.
