rear defrost on 94 J30

here is my dilema...my rear defrost does not work...when i push the button nothing happens...however whne i push all the other buttons on the climate control i can hear the blower kick in and the display lights up....ive checked both fuses under the hood and theyre both good...also gone through the FSM back and forth...im completely stumped....please someone help me...its getting cold as **** and i have a baby...it is unsafe to drive w.o the rear defrost...
