rear defrost does not work

I have an 08 altima sedan, the rear defroster does not work - but - I do have voltage/continuity to all the lower grids- I don't have voltage at the top few grids - is there a switch other than the dash switch(which is good) that may have died on me -- it doesn't appear that there are any breaks in these top grids, everything above the spot where grids are about 3/8" apart does not have voltage, i found some type of relay on the passenger side roof post where airbag is - could that have anything to do with my issue?
