I would check the fuse to see if it is blown.

when you say not working... what do you mean? i just started having this problem where the button doesnt work... and you actually gotta wiggle it around to start, really frustrating.... so if someone knows any way to fix this let me know... but try pushing the button, and moving your finger around with it still pressed and see if the light comes on.

The only thing you can do is check the fuse, unless you're familiar or comfortable troubleshooting electrical problems. If it's under warranty, don't hesitate, take it to the dealer and let them fix it.

Fuse or make sure the connector in the back is connected and that none of the metal on the inside of the glass has been damaged.

I hope you get it fixed. I can't believe I have a rear defrost! My old escort didn't have it but luckily for me I'm in Florida. It was annoying to have to manually remove the dew in the morning from the back window. Such a luxury to be able to press a button and have it done for me!
