I recently was removing something from the hatch in my 240 and caught the wire to one of the tabs attached to the glass . It popped the tab off completely So naturally the defogger grid isn't functioning well at the moment. How do you repair these? Can you just solder it back on to the same spot?

Yes, you can solder it back on. I broke mine off in a similar fashion and just soldered it back.

Yeah I am having the issue right now too of one of the wires popping out of it's location. The problem is that I soldered it back on but now I have a crazy bad short somewhere...like it blows both 20amp fuses in the box in like 10 seconds and draws like crazy on the battery. It is the one the furthest up towards the hinge of the trunk near the roof on the driver's side. Anyone know why this might be? As far as I can tell there isn't really anywhere that the excess solder could be touching to short it out. But then again I don't know that much about wiring...
