its actually super easy, just go in from below, not above. the factory 6x9's or bose speakers are mounted from underneath, and the screws go up into the deck, so its actually hanging there in a way. Just take off the trunk interior cover that has the two depressions where the speakers hang, then squeeze in there and unscrew them from there.

no pics, but just remove the trim piece in the back that covers the bottom of the speakers, then remove the screws from below. you dont need to remove the back deck, the screws are actually inverted.

hey i know this thread is realllly old, lol but i'm also having some trouble accessing/changing the rear speakers in my 2009 Altima Sedan.. I have been trying to go in from above, but I was wondering if the shortcut through the trunk was unique to the coupe or if it could also be done with the sedan??

cuz I dont see any way to access it through the trunk...

I think the sedan is the same. You just have to remove the lining in the trunk.
